Benson Funeral Home Services
|
We have been committed to serving families for over one hundred years. With those years of experience we have taken great strides to serve all families. Whether it is a traditional funeral service, cremation service, immediate graveside service, or even a out of country disposition, we keep our focus on the needs of the family.

The traditional funeral service encompasses a visitation at the funeral home where the families and friends can share the memories; say their goodbyes and gain closure. The service is then held at a church or at the funeral home. This is a time of scripture, prayers, music and often a sermon. When the service has concluded, the family and friends drive in funeral procession to the cemetery where a committal service takes place. This is the final good bye to the departed.
Once this has concluded, there is often a time of refreshment and fellowship at the church.

The cremation service is most often like the traditional service; however the decedent is brought to the crematory instead of the cemetery for final disposition. Some families will choose to have the cremation prior to the service and the urn is then present at church. The cremains are often buried at the cemetery, scattered at a favorite location, or placed at home.
The immediate graveside service is chosen by those who would like to keep the service simple. The funeral home staff will meet the family at the cemetery with the casketed remains for a committal service.
The out of country transfer of remains is often a family request for those who have decided to the final disposition where the decedent originated from. We help the families with travel plans, consulate paperwork, and explanation of state and/or federal guidelines.
The final cost of the funeral arrangements is dependant on the selections made by the families. It will vary from the different type of disposition and the merchandise selected.
